What is BAL40?

A bushfire attack level (BAL) is a way of measuring the severity of a building's potential exposure to ember attack, radiant heat and direct flame contact. It's primarily concerned with protection of your building from ember attack and burning debris ignited by wind borne embers and exposure to a high level of radiant heat radiant heat up to and including 40 kW/m2.
